Caps keep sun and rain out of your eyes and hold their shape when everything else is already soaked. Tactical models carry a Velcro panel on the front or the crown for a patch, and the fabric is usually ripstop – it does not tear further once it is holed.
The range holds M-Tac Flex and Elite series, Helikon-Tex PolyCotton Ripstop, and Mil-Tec tactical and quick-drying caps.
A flex cap has no fastener – it stretches and sits flat, with no buckle at the back of the head, so it does not get in the way under a hood. An adjustable one suits a cap shared between people, or a head size that changes with a helmet liner.
Patches go on it: blood group, a flag, an insignia. When it is not needed it stays empty and the cap looks ordinary.
