A winter hat has one job: to stop heat leaving through your head. Fleece warms even when damp and dries overnight; knitted acrylic and wool hats are warmer in dry cold and look more everyday.
The range holds M-Tac fleece Watch Cap series (270 and 320 g/m²), Polartec, acrylic models and Pentagon knitted hats, one of them with an LED light.
Fleece blocks wind better and fits under a helmet or hood, which suits activity. A knitted hat is warmer in still cold and more comfortable in town, but wind blows through it.
That is fabric weight: the higher the number, the thicker and warmer the fleece. 270 g/m² suits autumn and moving about, 320 g/m² real cold.
