Sitting pads

A sitting pad solves something simple: cold, wet ground pulls heat out of the body faster than air does. A foam panel breaks that contact, weighs a few hundred grams and clips to a belt, so you can sit down anywhere.

The range holds M-Tac seat pads with a belt and the ARMOR model, plus the Helikon-Tex Vagabond pad.

Is 20 mm thick enough?

For a short rest and wet grass, yes. On cold ground or snow a thicker pad, or one folded double, insulates better.

How is it carried?

Most models have a belt or a loop, so they ride on the waist and stay behind you – hands free and no pack space used.
