M-Tac Folding Knife Type 19 – a folding knife that the manufacturer assigns to the EDC (everyday carry) kit. The blade is 9 cm long and made of D2 steel.
Blade and handle
D2 steel contains carbon, manganese, silicon, chromium and molybdenum; according to the manufacturer, this combination gives the blade hardness, corrosion resistance and long-lasting sharpness. The handle is made of carbon fiber – a material that the manufacturer describes as made from organic polymers by special heat treatment; it states its strength, hardness, light weight and wear resistance.
Lock and clip
The open blade is locked by a plate that is part of the handle – this is a Liner Lock. On the inner side of the handle there is a clip for attaching the knife.
