Description
A detachable neck and upper back protection module (gorget) made of Cordura 500D, which the manufacturer describes as 360° protection against fragments.
Two parts with hook-and-loop fasteners, attached to the vests specified by the manufacturer. Only the cover is included – there are no ballistic inserts.
M-Tac Gorget Elite Gen.II – a detachable neck protection module (gorget) made of Cordura 500D for ballistic inserts. The manufacturer describes it as a module intended for 360° fragment protection of the neck and upper back.
Two parts and attachment
The module consists of two parts with hook-and-loop fasteners. The front part covers the front of the neck, and the shoulder part covers the shoulders, trapezius muscles and the back of the neck. The neck part attaches to the MOLLE system of the front panel of the plate carrier vests specified by the manufacturer, and the rear part attaches to the vest's shoulders with straps with sewn-on hook-and-loop tabs. If needed, the shoulder part can be used on its own, and the neck part can be folded and attached to the front of the vest.
Differences from the previous generation
According to the manufacturer, the changed shape of the collar makes it more comfortable to handle a weapon while lying down, and the extended rear part additionally covers the back. The inside of the shoulder part is made of cushioning mesh.
