M-Tac Paracord 550 Type III 30 m, 4 mm, 240 kg

M-Tac Paracord 550 is a type III nylon parachute cord originating from WWII parachute suspension lines. Because of its versatile properties (light, flexible, strong) paracord is popular with both military and civilian users.

The cord consists of an outer braid and a core of 7 interwoven nylon strands. Length 30 m, diameter 4 mm, strength 240 kg. Core strands can be used individually for sewing or other fine work.

Paracord is used to repair clothing and gear, as a belt or bootlaces, to secure tents and tarps, as weapon slings and as a drying line. NASA astronauts used paracord to repair the Hubble Space Telescope during mission STS-82.
