M-Tac Paracord Survival 15 m

M-Tac Paracord Survival – a nylon cord with an outer braid and a core. The core is made up of 7 polyamide strands (550 paracord), jute, and braided fishing line. Length 15 m, diameter 4 mm.

Uses

The core strands can be pulled out and used as thread to repair clothing or gear. The manufacturer lists other uses as well: a cord instead of a belt, suspenders, or shoelaces, fixing a broken zipper, stretching a tent, tarp, or poncho, securing a camouflage net, a clothesline, wrapping a knife handle, and braiding a knife lanyard.

The manufacturer also mentions paracord as a substitute for a climbing rope when descending or ascending, but warns: paracord withstands a static (jerk-free) load, but not large jerks, such as when falling, so you need to descend slowly and evenly.
