M-Tac Folding Sighting Compass for Azimuth

The M-Tac folding-frame compass consists of a lid with a sight and a base on which a capsule with a dial and needle rotates. The frame is used to set an azimuth.

To set an azimuth, point the long side of the compass at your landmark, turn the capsule until the needle's north lines up with the marked north, then read the azimuth value off the sight at the back. Degree markings on the rear bezel make the process straightforward.

The bottom of the frame holds a fluid-level indicator and a reckoning table; one side has a ruler. These features make this model more capable and easier to use than its predecessors.
